Ingredients

Serves 8 as a snack or appetizer
  • 2kg chicken wings
  • Olive oil
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 200ml your preferred hot sauce
  • 100g butter, melted

Directions

  1. Fire up your Ooni pizza oven. Aim for 250˚C on the baking stone inside. You can check the temperature inside your Ooni quickly and easily using an Infrared Thermometer.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients. Set aside a quarter of the mixture.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the large bowl, cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Add a little olive oil to your Cast Iron Pan, and place inside your oven to preheat.
  5. Remove the pan and place the marinated wings inside. Cook for 20 minutes, or until nicely charred, then flip the wings and pour over the remaining sauce.
  6. Return the pan to your Ooni oven for another 10 minutes, or until the sauce has started to thicken and the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve the wings right from the pan – use the Grizzler or Sizzler’s fitted wooden board to rest the hot pan on your dining table.
